Focus and Scope

Jurnal Sinergi Inovasi dan Masyarakat (JSIM) focuses on the publication of high-quality articles resulting from Community Service (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat/PkM) activities that emphasize innovation, application of science and technology, and sustainable community empowerment.

JSIM aims to become a scientific platform for disseminating impactful community engagement practices that integrate academic expertise with real societal needs. The journal prioritizes solution-oriented programs, measurable outcomes, and sustainable development approaches.

Scope of the Journal

JSIM accepts manuscripts from multidisciplinary fields that are relevant to community development and empowerment, including but not limited to:

  • Implementation of science and technology for community empowerment
  • Social innovation and appropriate technology
  • Community-based economic development and entrepreneurship
  • Digital transformation and literacy programs for society
  • Education and training programs for community capacity building
  • Public health interventions and community well-being programs
  • Environmental sustainability and local resource management
  • Strengthening local institutions and social organizations
  • Rural and urban community development initiatives
  • Collaborative programs between universities, industries, governments, and communities

Article Characteristics

Manuscripts submitted to JSIM must demonstrate:

  • Clear background of community problems and needs assessment
  • Innovative and applicable intervention methods
  • Systematic implementation process
  • Measurable outputs and outcomes
  • Evaluation of program sustainability
  • Contribution to knowledge development in community service practices

JSIM only publishes original articles that have not been published elsewhere and are not under consideration by other journals. All submissions must follow the journal template and publication ethics guidelines.

The journal is published biannually (April and October) and applies a double-blind peer review system to maintain academic quality and integrity.
